Your role/title at Apart of Me:
How are you involved with Apart of Me?
The idea for Apart of Me was born when I was working as a psychotherapist in St Josephs Hospice, counselling young people and families where a loved one was dying or had died. I realised that people were using their smartphones and social networks to grieve more and more but that there were real limitations. A lot of advice online is very hit and miss, and pouring your heart out on social networks can be very uncontained. So we decided to create Apart of Me, the world’s first healing game to help young people find a way through their grief. ⠀
Is there someone or something that you love that isn’t here anymore?
My best mate Dan took his own life in 2017. He was a true adventurer, sailed the world on a boat he helped build, and I hope to keep his spirit of adventure alive in my own life.⠀
What is guaranteed to make you laugh?
My 2-year-old daughter Rose.⠀
List some silly facts about you:
I once starred in an advert for Orange mobile network. I was hired as a BMX stunt rider, even though I couldn’t do any stunts! ⠀
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Love is all around us but we don’t believe its real.⠀
