Get involved

Have you experienced a loss and want to use your passion and creativity to make an impact on the lives of people like you?

We are looking for 10 young people to collaborate with us

Earlier in the year Apart of Me responded to one of the Mayor of London’s Resilience Fund challenges which looked to address socially impactful issues facing London, with the aim to help London emerge stronger from COVID-19. Our challenge was part of the bereavement services challenge to develop a highly accessible and culturally competent solution to enable more personalised bereavement guidance and support for Londoners from minority ethnic groups bereaved by or during COVID-19, and reflects local minority ethnic community history and culture.

As part of the next phase on this project we are looking to assemble a squad of young Londoners aged 16-25 from BME backgrounds who have experienced a loss and would like to take part in six workshops start around mid October 2021.

Together with the Apart of Me Team you will get the chance to:

  1. Help us create the Loss in Translation toolkit
  2. Learn more about taking care of yourself through your grief
  3. Take meaningful actions in your community for causes you feel passionate about - turning your grief into creative power!

Does this sound like you? If you want to take part, or to find out more, please contact jenna@apartofme.app - We look forward to hearing from you!
